Boundless
Belron cut £50m in losses from water ingress by training technicians to apply windscreen adhesive correctly, reducing errors and improving outcomes.
The Solution
To address this, we developed an innovative immersive training simulation, which included a 3D-printed replica glue gun. This tool tracks three critical factors in adhesive application — trigger pressure, gun angle, and speed. The training experience provides real-time feedback, visually presenting each technician's performance and highlighting areas for improvement. The result is a tool that builds muscle memory and enhances knowledge retention while also being a sustainable solution.
"This immersive solution has revolutionised how we train our technicians. The combination of real-time feedback and sustainable design ensures our team is equipped with the skills they need to succeed."
The Impact
By using the Immersive VR Glue Gun Simulation, technicians improved their application techniques, reducing errors associated with water ingress. This advanced training system not only optimised performance but also created a more engaging and effective learning environment.
