Showcasing Our VR PU Application Training at AutoGlass Live

We’re thrilled to be attending the AutoGlass Live Event with Belron, showcasing something we’re incredibly excited about: Our Virtual Reality PU Application Training Simulation.

May 14, 2025

A Hands-On VR Experience

Our VR simulation isn’t just a tech demo, it’s a fully interactive training environment. Using a virtual reality headset and a real PU application tool synced with the system, technicians are able to apply a virtual bead of adhesive to a real windscreen. The combination of tactile feedback and immersive visuals creates a highly realistic experience that mirrors the challenges and nuances of real-world PU application.

What makes this tool especially powerful is how it bridges the gap between theory and practice. It’s one thing to be told how to apply adhesive in a clean, consistent bead. It’s quite another to do it with proper angle, pressure, and speed under realistic conditions skills that often take time and materials to refine. With VR, that learning curve becomes faster, cleaner, and far more engaging.

Training That’s Efficient, Sustainable, and Measurable

One of the standout benefits of the simulation is its ability to significantly reduce waste. Traditionally, practicing PU application requires real adhesive, practice windscreens, and plenty of cleanup. With our VR simulation, technicians can train repeatedly without using any materials—making it a sustainable and cost-effective solution.

It also saves time. Because the system gives immediate feedback and can be run in quick sessions, technicians can train during downtime, repeat key scenarios, and quickly move toward proficiency.

And then there’s the data. Every session captures detailed performance metrics—from line consistency to application speed and angle—giving technicians clear benchmarks for improvement and allowing managers to track progress across teams. This transforms training into a quantifiable, results-driven process.

Looking Ahead

As the industry continues to evolve, digital training tools like this VR simulation will become even more critical. Not only do they empower technicians to learn faster and smarter, but they also contribute to more consistent quality and safer repairs for customers.

We’re incredibly proud of the positive feedback we’ve received so far, and we’re just getting started. As we continue to iterate and enhance the experience, we’re excited to see how this technology can help transform training standards across the industry.

If you’re attending the AutoGlass Live Event, be sure to stop by our booth and give the simulation a try—you might even land a top spot on the leaderboard!
